Purpose of the position:

As the manager responsible for corporate communications (PR), the job’s primary purpose is to manage the company's external communications activities. This includes developing positive brand awareness, creating a regional communications strategy, and nurturing relationships with local and international media. This person will work closely with our PR agencies to oversee activities and ensure the company's reputation is built and maintained.

Responsibilities Include:

Corporate Communications (PR):

  • Represent the company at media events and act as a spokesperson, giving interviews to media (TV, Radio, online, print)
  • Cultivate relationships with key business partners and journalists in national and trade publications
  • Write clear and compelling communications materials such as press releases, briefs, presentations, boilerplates, and data sheets, ensuring the department archive is maintained
  • Develop compelling story angles
  • Update key messages and media FAQs
  • Manage external agencies and assist in the production of events, including pre- and post-production
  • Coordinate responses to media requests and inquiries in a timely manner
  • Pitch stories to media that will achieve the highest visibility for the brand

 

General:

  • Keep up to date with communication trends, innovations, techniques, and media regulations
  • Maintain efficient working relationships with all local agencies, business partners, stakeholders, and government entities
  • Effectively allocate resources to ensure the best ROI
  • Monitor all relevant communications, including brand, digital, and offline media KPIs connected to areas of responsibility
  • Cooperate with cross-functional teams to set priorities according to network strategy, understand market and brand strengths and weaknesses, and quickly develop action plans to address them
  • Keep local contact databases up to date
  • Coordinate tenders with the purchasing team

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience primarily in corporate communications; experience in aviation is a plus
  • Degree in Communications, Marketing, or a Business-related subject
  • Experience in managing complex projects in multi-market operations
  • Mastery of communications, customers, market understanding, and digital marketing, whether agency or client side
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English; command of other European languages is a plus (Italian, Romanian)
  • Creative and confident with strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
  • Resilient and passionate about working in a dynamic airline industry
  • Ability to work well under pressure to ensure tasks are prioritized and goals are met
  • Possesses stamina and good presentation skills
  • Results-oriented, persistent, dependable, and consistent
  • Demonstrates innovation, creativity, and good lateral thinking
  • Self-motivated and proactive, willing to take initiative and shoulder responsibility
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Ready to travel up to 50% of working time
